Many people make the mistake of not coming for treatment because they don’t have health insurance. However, injuries from work accidents are covered under most insurance policies.

Diversified (Manual manipulation): The most commonly used chiropractic technique and probably the most familiar to patients. The diversified manual manipulation involves a high-velocity, low amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possibly with assistance from a chiropractic adjustment table or block. The result of the diversified technique adjustment results in a cavitation of a joint typically accompanied with a popping noise.

Arthrostim : A special Chiropractic adjustment tool which produces a really fast thrust and recoil motion. The motion is very similar as to when a Chiropractor uses their hands to adjust the vertebrae in the back. The benefit of this adjustment is that it performs a high velocity, low amplitude motion at a very fast rate which can be targeted to a very small area. The force of the rapid fire motion radiates through the joint and the tissues surrounding it, releasing trigger points that are often the cause of muscle spasms.

Activator: This is a hand-held, spring loaded Chiropractic instrument. It is a small device that delivers a lighter, but quicker thrust than being delivered manually. The Activator is most often used as an alternative method for patients who may not desire the diversified, manual manipulation adjustment.

Neil Kosin, D.C.

Neil Kosin was born in Brooklyn NY. He graduated SUNY Albany in May 1983 with a BA in Psychology. Neil became interested in pursuing a chiropractic career after sustaining an upper back injury and visiting a local chiropractor that lived and practiced on his home block. After experiencing first hand relief from a chronic back problem he decided to switch careers. He graduated National College of Chirorpractic in April 1991. In 1996 he and his brother Ivan Kosin opened Kosin Family Chiropractic Center, LLC serving Freehold, Howell and surrounding communities. In 2008 his office relocated into Freehold Boro to serve more patients providing ample parking with easy accessibility.

Neil Kosin’s philosophy is simple: Give people quality care at affordable fees. And let my hands do the talking. After 20 years of practice we have a strong word of mouth referral practice with satisfied patients returning and bringing in their families.

Patients don’t receive the conveyor belt mechanized care they might have received in the past. After listening to the patient during the consultation and exam treatment plans are customized to address their needs. For people unfamiliar with chiropractic care we want their first encounter to be a positive experience. Too many people have been robbed the miraculous results that chiropractic care may provide due to an unfavorable first experience or unreasonable expectation.

Ivan Kosin, D.C.

People sometimes ask me, “How did you get involved in chiropractic care?” I tell them it all started one day when my mother went to a Chiropractor and I had nothing else to do that day so I decided to go with her. My life has never been the same since. Little did I know that this 20 minute visit would have such a profound effect on my life. The Chiropractor explained to me how everything in our bodies was controlled by the nervous system and how people didn’t need to be in pain to be sick or hurt. I realized then, why should people be in pain when they needn’t be?

I wanted to help people achieve their optimal health naturally, and the best way I could achieve this is by becoming a chiropractor. So, thanks, mom!

A little about myself first. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1989. After an associate position, I opened my first office in Plainfield, NJ in 1992 where I practiced for 19 years before opening Brunswick Chiropractic Center of New Jersey in 2011. I have two wonderful children and teach them by living my life by example, keeping a healthy life-style that includes going to the gym regularly as well as eating healthy. But enough about me…

Why chiropractic care for you? The optimal goal of any visit to a chiropractor is to diagnose, treat and prevent misalignment of the spine (vertebral subluxation) resulting in proper function as well as the body’s ability to heal itself without the use of medications or surgery. Regular spinal adjustments are essential to maintain normal health, and Chiropractic care can treat conditions most people don’t even realize they suffer from.

When you first arrive at Brunswick Chiropractic Center of New Jersey, I will perform a comprehensive medical history, evaluate your condition, and may use diagnostic imaging to determine what course of treatment is appropriate for the individual—which is key! Here you will receive personalized care and attention needed to guide you to better health. If your case is one that I feel will benefit from Chiropractic care, I will tell you. And more importantly, if it is not, I will tell you that, too.

Please call or email Brunswick Chiropractic Center of New Jersey anytime so we can discuss what your specific health goals are and begin you on your journey to optimal health—naturally thru Chiropractic care!
